Spacetime Continuum - Sea Biscuit

Incredible ambient techno from Jonah Sharp. Sea Biscuit is a master class in sonic painting; layer upon layer of textures and colour... you could sit and listen to this 20 times in one sitting and still hear something different each time. Up there with the cream of the crop from the mighty Fax label - but why am I preaching, grab yourself a copy and judge for yourself!

Air Liquide: Sonic Weather Machine

Lots of dubbed out acid and also some four to the floor belters... I particularly like Breaking The Surface Barrier. Enjoy.

Ukkonen: Disambedience Mix

This is an absolute stunner of a mix from the mighty Ukkonen who resides on the Uncharted Audio Label. He did this for the Acid Ted Blog, and it has been getting some heavy rotation here!

Air Liquide: Neue Frankfurter Elektronik Schule 1991

An album in a class of its own; typically in the Air Liquide style, they layer 303's with futuristic soundscapes which are interspersed with radio static. A lot of it seems like a dream... An ambient techno album that possibly didn't receive the recognition it deserved.

Deep Space Network: Big Rooms

Venture into deep sapace. This and the album they did with the Higher Intelligence Agency are sublime excursions into ambient techno.

Neutron 9000: Lady Burning Sky

Another classic ambient release on Rising High Records. One of my favourite band names of all time is 473 Small Green People With Pointy Heads! Which was Dominic Woosey of Neutron 9000 fame.

Radiowaves: Radiowaves

Radiowaves is a vastly underrated ambient acid techno album, written by Dr Walker of Air Liquide fame, and Can Oral the brother of Cem Oral (the other half of Air Liquide).

The Orb: Assassin

Two disc EP that came with a 'Don't Leave Earth Without One' window sticker. The Chocolate Hills Of Bohol Mix samples the intro to KlingKlang by Kraftwerk.

Dan Shoebridge: No Life On Mars

Whilst ripping this CD I surfed around to see if I could grab some more mixes from Dan Shoebridge but his web site is no longer. A great shame. Here is a mix he did called No Life On Mars a fantastic mix where he manages to convey the icy sparse quietness that is Mars.

The only other mix I have by him is A Connected Reality which is a real journey (art work is below), if you want to stream it online then it is still available here.

MLO: Io

Beautiful ambient album from MLO... I really rate this record, up there with the ambient greats; vastly underrated work IMO. Grab it here.

New London School Of Electronics: The Deepest Cut

Now here's a cracking little ambient gem that I've just blown the dust off. It's a shame Caspar and Laurence didn't do much else under this moniker. The album has a nice flow to it with some mystery and spattering of abstractness about it.

Electronic Dub: Electronic Dub

What an album! Air Liquide join up with Caspar Pound to bring us some high quality ambient acid dub, released in 1994 but still sounding fresh to my ears 18 years down the line.

Mixmaster Morris & Jonah Sharp: Quiet Logic

I can't believe this isn't available commercially anywhere! & I can't find a 320Kbps rip of it for love or money! What an album! Get a 192Kbps rip of it here.

Mosaik: Leandi

I heard of this EP via Mixmaster Morris when he posted on Facebook about being kicked off his DJ set for playing the title track! It's a beautiful EP and available as a free download in MP3 or FLAC from Soft Phase net label.

Phillip Wilkerson: Sun Tracer

It's all about space! Some lush melodies here and available as a free download from Earth Mantra net label (direct link to download album is here).

LJ Kruzer: Tam Variations

Really nice little EP available as a free download, it has lots of variations of the Tam track from Manhood & Electronics on the Uncharted Audio label. Here is a video of the original track:

Regolith: Sap Rising

Pretty dark stuff here but what an awesome effort from the lads that are Regolith! Open spaciousness with some beautifully sparse melodies... This was originally released on the late but great Myuzyk label, and came with a lovely print by Nebo Peklo.

The Irresistible Force: Underground EP

This EP is a bit of a mixture, for me the tracks Flow Motion, Underground (Ambient Mix) & Space Is The Place (Instrumental Mix) are the best ones; the latter two are superb IMO.

Barbarella: Barbarella

This Maxi Single is a bit of a classic! Some of it has dated considerably, however it's all about The Irresistible Force mix, with the lush samples of Für Luise from the Cluster & Eno album. I've provided the whole Single for completeness really.

The Fires Of Ork: The Fires Of Ork

What a fantastic pairing - Pete Namlook & Geir Jenssen of Biosphere fame!! Superb album on the Fax label. And here is The Fires Of Ork 2.
